     4th Annual Tiny Lights Festival

     June 12-14 2015

Our festival is unlike any other in the area; with 6 historic venues running all day with over 80 performances, many hands-on workshops for adults and children, spoken word, theatre and film there is something for everyone.

This  year we are featuring our Sustainability Village which will include hands-on workshops in topics as diverse as mycology, hoola hooping, gold panning and beekeeping. The Village will also include vendors featuring tasty local food and beverages, crafts and locally grown produce.

Ymir is a very small town and space  is limited, so plan early to avoid disappointment. You can BUY ADVANCE TICKETS HERE

Our festival allows you to see top notch performers in small intimate venues. This is where magic happens for performers and audiences. Our artistic director described it as a "...whole town house concert."

You can explore last year's festival details on this site. We will be updating our blog often if you would like to see what we are up to. If you would like to sign up for our newsletter, drop us a line here.

All our venues are indoors or covered for rain so the party stays dry.

Our Supporters

Our festival would not be possible without the incredible generosity of the residents of Ymir and these amazing Ymir businesses...

The Goods General Store

The incredible women at the Goods not only make the best coffee between Salmo and Nelson, but also sell tickets to the festival, host our artists, and make lovely baked goods. Where else in the world can you buy, samosas, guitar picks, gardening gloves, combs, and drill bits in one place!

The Ymir Palace

Belinda and Ross have been incredibly generous opening up their hotel as not only a stage, but as accommodations for artists. They have lovingly restored this former brothel!

Nelson Brewing Company

These guys and gals make wonderful all-organic craft beers. We love what they do and we love to serve them whenever we can. They are tireless supporters of the arts, so it is great to support them in turn!

Speedy Glass Nelson

This family owned company generously supports the arts and they have the bonus of fitting into our sustainability mandate by being able to repair instead of replace windshields! We are so grateful for their support.
